Coming into Operation

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and the Secretaries of State respectively concerned with the sea fishing industry in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 6(1) and 20(1) of the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 19671, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, after consultation with the Secretary of State for Trade, hereby make the following order:—

Title and commencement1

This order may be cited as the Salmon and Migratory Trout (Restrictions on Landing) (Variation) Order 1983 and shall come into operation on 14th February 1983.

Variation of Principal Order2

In article 3 of the Salmon and Migratory Trout (Restrictions on Landing) Order 19722 the words from “during” to “inclusive,” shall be deleted.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order varies the Salmon and Migratory Trout (Restrictions on Landing) Order 1972 by removing the time limit within which that order was to expire.
