The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by 18(3) of the Transport Act 1981, and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Transport Act 1981 (Commencement No. 10) Order 1983.
2. The 2nd August 1983 is hereby appointed as the day on which paragraph 10 of Schedule 6 to the Transport Act 1981 comes into force.

This Order appoints 2nd August 1983 for the coming into force of paragraph 10 of Schedule 6 to the Transport Act 1981.
The following provisions of the Transport Act 1981 have been brought into force by commencement orders made before the date of this Order:—

The provisions of Schedule 6 to the Act, with the exception of paragraph 10, came into force on the 1st October 1981 by virtue of section 18(2) of the Act and the Transport Act 1981 (Dissolution of National Ports Council) (Appointed Day) Order 1981 (S.I. No. 1364).
