8A. Where the amount of a councillor's allowance to which a person is entitled in respect of any week exceeds the sum for the time being specified in [F2regulation 8 of the Social Security (Incapacity Benefit) Regulations 1994], then an amount equal to the excess shall be deducted from the amount of any severe disablement allowance to which he is entitled in respect of that week, and only the balance remaining (if any) shall be payable.]
