The Regulations revoke and re-enact with amendments the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of fitters and workshops) (Fees) Regulations 1977 and the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of fitters and workshops) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1985. The amendments are consequential on the repeal of Council Regulation (EEC) 1463/70 and its replacement by Council Regulation (EEC) No. 3821/85 on recording equipment in road transport.
These Regulations make provisions for the fees for the grant of approval of a fitter or workshop for recording equipment in accordance with Article 12 of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 3821/85. The fees are unchanged and are:—
(1) £200 on the issue of an approval, and
(2) £80 on the renewal of an approval.
