MERCHANT SHIPPING;PILOTAGE

This Order brings into force certain provisions of the Pilotage Act 1987; namely—in Part III, sections 24 and 25 which concern the abolition of pilotage authorities and transfer of staff on the day (to be) appointed for the coming into force of Part I of the Act, and section 28 (pilots compensation schemes);certain supplementary provisions in Part IV; andparagraphs 1 to 4 of Schedule 1 (transitional and saving provisions).
