Provided that only Regulation I4 shall have effect in the case of a serviceman other than a serviceman (1939–1945), whose period of relevant service in the armed forces ended on or after 5th July 1948 but before 15th July 1950 and that Regulation shall have effect only where he was called up for service in the armed forces under the National Service Acts 1939 to 194646, the National Service Act 194747 or the National Service Act 194848, or required for training or called into actual service or called out for training or for permanent service in the armed forces in pursuance of his obligations as a member of the territorial army or any reserve of the armed forces.
