for the purposes described in article 2(1)

for all other purposes

Whereas the Local Government Boundary Commission for England, acting pursuant to sections 47 and 51(1) of the Local Government Act 19721, has made proposals to the Secretary of State for alterations in the boundaries between the district of Dover and the city of Canterbury and the district of Shepway, between the boroughs of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells, and between the boroughs of Dartford and Gravesham and the district of Sevenoaks:

And whereas more than six weeks has elapsed since those proposals were made:

And whereas the Secretary of State has decided to give effect to the proposals:

Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under sections 51(2) and 67(4) and (5) of that Act and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following order:
