The Town and Country Planning (Listed Buildings and Buildings in Conservation Areas) Regulations 1987

Interpretation

2.  In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires—

“the Act” means the Town and Country Planning Act 1971;

“conservation area consent” means consent required by section 277A(2) of the Act;

“local planning authority” means—

(a)

in regulation 11, the council of a district, the council of a London borough or (as respects Greater London) the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission for England;

(b)

in regulation 13, the council of a district or county or the council of a London borough; and

(c)

elsewhere in these Regulations, the council of a district or the council of a London borough.
