The Secretary of State for Social Services in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 49, 84(1) and 166 of, and Schedule 20(1), to the Social Security Act 1975(2) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after reference to the Social Security Advisory Committee(3), hereby makes the following Regulations:

1975 c. 14; the definition of “Entitled to child benefit” was inserted in Schedule 20 by the Child Benefit Act 1975 (c. 61), Schedule 4, paragraph 38.
