The Import and Export (Plant Health Fees) (Scotland) Order 1987

Article 3

SCHEDULE 1 FEES IN RESPECT OF EXPORT CERTIFICATION SERVICES

1.   The taking of one soil sample from a field or part of a field comprising not more than 4 hectares, or from a glass-house or container–
(a) for the first sample taken on any day, where no other chargeable visit is being made	50.00
(b) for the first sample taken on any day, where another chargeable visit is being made	25.00
(c) for the second and each subsequent sample taken on the same day as the first sample	25.00
2.   Growing season inspection of–
(a) up to 0.5 hectares of bulbs, per day	25.00
each additional 0.5 hectares of bulbs up to 14 hectares, per day	5.00
(b) up to 0.4 hectares of outdoor plants other than bulbs, per day	25.00
each additional 0.4 hectares of outdoor plants other than bulbs up to 11 hectares, per day	5.00
(c) up to 5,000 indoor plants, per day	25.00
each additional 5,000 indoor plants up to 70,000, per day	5.00
3.   Consideration of an application for official labels in connection with the issue of one certificate for the export of seed potatoes, per tonne or part thereof	1.20
4.   Consideration of an application for the issue of one certificate for the export of–
(a) grain, per 100 tonnes or part thereof	10.00
(b) frozen vegetables, frozen fruit, tea and seed samples, per consignment	10.00
(c) plants or plant products, where no inspection is required	5.00
5.   Pre-export inspection of and the issue of one certificate for the export of a consignment of bulbs and other plants and plant products, including seed potatoes where an official label is not required, where an inspection at the premises of the grower is necessary and where–
(a) the value of the consignment is up to and including £50.00 whether or not the consignment comprises items for botanical research	3.00
(b) the value of the consignment is more than £50.00 but not more than £150.00 whether or not the consignment comprises items for botanical research	10.00
(c) the value of the consignment is more than £150.00 and the consignment comprises items for botanical research	15.00
(d) the value of the consignment is more than £150.00 but not more than £300.00 and the consignment does not comprise items for botanical research	20.00
(e) the value of the consignment is more than £300.00 and the consignment does not comprise items for botanical research	30.00
6.   Pre-export inspection of and the issue of one certificate for the export of a small consignment of plants and plant products where no inspection at the premises of the grower is necessary and where–
(a) the value of the consignment is up to and including £50.00 whether or not the consignment comprises items for botanical research	3.00
(b) the value of the consignment is more than £50.00 but not more than £150.00 whether or not the consignment comprises items for botanical research	10.00
(c) the value of the consignment is more than £150.00 whether or not the consignment comprises items for botanical research	15.00
7.   Pre-export inspection of and the issue of one certificate for the export of used agricultural machinery (such inspection being for traces of soil or plant debris)	30.00

SCHEDULE 2 FEES IN RESPECT OF IMPORT LICENSING SERVICES

2.   The inspection of articles for import, per day
(a) up to and including the first 30 minutes	30.00
(b) thereafter, for each additional 30 minutes or part thereof	15.00
