1.—(1) This Order which may be cited as the Welsh Water Authority (Fixed Engine) Order 1988 shall come into force on 23rd September 1988 unless a memorial is presented to the Secretary of State in accordance with paragraph 9 of Schedule 3 to the Act praying that this Order shall be subject to special parliamentary procedure(1).
(2) In this Order—
“the Act” means the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975;
“the Authority” means the Welsh Water Authority;
“the definitive plan” means the plan marked “Welsh Water Authority (Fixed Engine) Order 1988”, dated 10th August 1988, signed by an Assistant Secretary of the Welsh Office and deposited at the offices of the Authority at Penrhosgarnedd, Bangor, Gwynedd LL57 2DJ.
Section 6 of the Statutory Orders (Special Procedure) Act 1945 (c. 18) (9 and 10 Geo. 6) makes provision for Orders subject to special parliamentary procedure.
