Interpretation
2. In this Order —
“the authority” means the Borough Council of Weymouth and Portland;
“the Harbour” has the same meaning as in the Weymouth Harbour Byelaws made under section 41 Weymouth and Melcombe Regis Corporation Act 1887 (1), namely the tidal inlet of the sea known as Weymouth Harbour and so much of the area seaward thereof as is referred to in section 8 of the Weymouth and Melcombe Regis Corporation Act 1887 as shown on the map annexed to those byelaws.
“signed plan” means the plan signed in triplicate by an Under Secretary in the Department of Transport, two copies of which have been deposited at that Department and one copy of which has been deposited at the offices of the Authority situated in North Quay, Weymouth, Dorset, DT4 8TA.
