Exchange of information
90—(1) For the purposes of section 31(1) and (2) of the Act (exchange of information obtained by the Secretary of State in connection with his functions under the benefit Acts and by authorities in connection with their functions relating to housing benefit) regulations 2 and 3 of the Housing Benefit (Supply of Information) Regulations 1988(1) shall apply to housing benefit in respect of community charge rebates.
(2) References in those Regulations to an “authority” or “authorities” include a levying authority within the meaning of paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the 1987 Act.
(3) In addition to any information which may be supplied by the Secretary of State in accordance with paragraph (1), the Secretary of State may supply to a levying authority the name and address of any person who is in receipt of income support and of any partner he may have.
