This Order may be cited as the Assured Tenancies and Agricultural Occupancies (Rent Information) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 15th January 1989.

This Order applies to cases where the rent assessment committee for an area have made a determination under section 13(4) or 22(1) of the Housing Act 1988 or are precluded from making a determination on an application under section 22(1) by reason of section 22(3) of that Act.

The President of the rent assessment panel for the area concerned shall, as respects those cases, make available for public inspection under section 42 of the Housing Act 1988 the information specified in the Schedule to this Order.

The President of each rent assessment panel shall keep the specified information available for public inspection without charge during usual office hours at the office or principal office of that panel.

A person requiring a copy of any specified information certified under the hand of an officer duly authorised by the President of the rent assessment panel concerned shall be entitled to obtain it on payment of a fee of £1 for the specified information relating to each determination or, where no determination is made, each application.
