These Regulations amend the Motor Vehicles (Tests) Regulations 1981 so that:—
(a)the fee payable for the examination of a vehicle Class VI is increased from £33 to £34.50 if the vehicle is constructed or adapted to carry more than 12 passengers, and from £23 to £24 in any other case. These increases apply in respect of an examination following an application under regulation 12 and to a re-test after an interval of more than 14 days;
(b)the fee payable for the re-test of a Vehicle Class VI within 14 days of an examination following an application under regulation 12 is increased from £16.50 to £17 if the vehicle is constructed or adapted to carry more than 12 passengers and from £11.50 to £12 in any other case; and
(c)the fee payable for the issue of a duplicated test certificate in the case of a vehicle in Class VI is increased from £7 to £7.50.
