This Order brings into force on 18th April 1988 the following provisions of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987, together with associated amendments—
Part II, which concerns the right for tenants of flats to apply to the court for an order appointing a manager to act in relation to those premises;
Part III, which concerns the right for certain tenants of flats, in specified circumstances, to apply to the court for an order providing for a person nominated by them to acquire their landlord’s interest in the premises without his consent;
Part IV, which concerns the right for any party to a long lease of a flat or, in specified circumstances another dwelling, which fails to make satisfactory provision for certain matters, to apply to the court for an order varying the lease in such manner as is specified in the application;
Part VII, (partially) which contains general and supplementary provisions.
