The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Whereas a draft of the following Order in Council has been laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament:
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 1(2) of the Armed Forces Act 1986(1), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered as follows:–
1. The Army Act 1955(2), the Air Force Act 1955(3) and the Naval Discipline Act 1957(4) shall continue in force for a period of twelve months beyond 31st August 1989 that day being the day on which they would otherwise expire.
2. This Order may be cited as the Army, Air Force and Naval Discipline Acts (Continuation) Order 1989.
