Citation, commencement and interpretation1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Medical Evidence, Claims and Payments) Amendment Regulations 1989 and shall come into force for the purposes of regulation 6, in relation to a particular beneficiary, at the beginning of the first benefit week to commence for that beneficiary on or after 9th October 1989 and for all other purposes on 9th October 1989.

In these Regulations–
“the Claims and Payments Regulations” means the Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations 19874; and
“the Medical Evidence Regulations” means the Social Security (Medical Evidence) Regulations 19765.
