Amendment of the Plant Health (Great Britain) Order 1987

2.  The Plant Health (Great Britain) Order 1987(1) shall be amended as follows:–

In Schedule 3 –

(1) In Part VI after Item 75 there shall be inserted the following item –

75A.  Raw vegetables from plants of:—

  • horseradish (Armoracia L.)

  • radish (Raphanus L.).

Where the consignment originates in the Netherlands it shall be free from foliage.;

(2) In Part VII B –

(a)in the title the words “DENDRANTHEMA, DIANTHUS, GLADIOLUS, GYPSOPHILA, PROTEA, PRUNUS, ROSA, SALIX, SYRINGA ANDVITIS” SHALL BE OMITTED AND THERE shall be substituted the following:—

ACHILLEA, ANTIRRHINUM, ANEMONE, ASTER, CALENDULA, CALLISTEPHUS, CARTHAMUS, CHRYSANTHEMUM, CIRSIUM, CENTAUREA, DENDRANTHEMA, DIANTHUS, GLADIOLUS, GYPSOPHILA, LIATRIS, LISIANTHIUS, PROTEA, PRUNUS, ROSA, SALIX, SOLIDAGO, SOLIDASTER, SYRINGA, VITIS ANDZINNIA.

(b)in column 2 of Item 77 before the words “Dendranthema(DC.) Des Moulins (including florists` chrysanthemum)” there shall be inserted the following:—

Chrysanthemum L. (includingChrysanthemum coccineum Willd. (syn.Tanacetum coccineum Willd. Grierson) (Pyrethrum),Chrysanthemum leucanthemum L. (syn.Leucanthemum vulgare Lam.),Chrysanthemum maximum Ramond (syn.Leucanthemum maximum Ramond DC) andChrysanthemum parthenium L. (syn.Tanacetum parthenium L.Sch. Bip.) (Chrysanthemum matricaria));

(c)after Item 81 there shall be inserted the following item –

82.  Cut flowers of the genera

Achillea L.Where the consignment is of cut flowers originating in the Netherlands, it shall be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate.

Anemone L. (Mona Lisa type only)
Aster L.
Calendula L.
Callistephus Cass.
Carthamus L.
Cirsium Miller
Centaurea L.
Liatris Schreber
Lisianthius P. Browne (syn.Lisianthus L.)

Solidaster Wehrh.
Zinnia L.
