Amendment of Schedule 5 to the principal Regulations33
In Schedule 5 to the principal Regulations (child’s allowance) after paragraph 4 there is inserted–
4A
Where there is a surviving parent or spouse of a parent but the circumstances are such that at the time of the officer’s death there was no entitlement to a widow’s or a widower’s pension, any child’s allowance payable under these Regulations shall be paid at the rate applicable had there been no surviving parent or spouse of a parent.
