The Bristol Development Corporation (Area and Constitution) Order 1988, which also comes into force on 19th January 1989, designates an area of about 420 hectares in the city of Bristol, within the county of Avon, as an urban development area and establishes an urban development corporation for the purposes of regenerating the area.
This Order amends the original Order by excluding from the development area which it designates, four areas of land, totalling about 60 hectares, which are shown cross hatched black on the map forming part of this note. The areas are excluded following consideration of the original Order by a Select Committee of the House of Lords.
