Transfer of functions

2.—(1) There are hereby transferred to the Secretary of State those functions which by virtue of the 1970 provisions are exercisable by the Secretary of State for the Environment and the Secretary of State for Scotland acting jointly under–

(a) section 8(1) of the 1951 Act (extension to other filling materials of provisions relating to rag flock); and

(b) section 30 of that Act (regulations).

(2) In paragraph (1) above,“the 1970 provisions” means articles 2(1) and 5(1) of, and paragraph 17 of Schedule 3 to, the Secretary of State for the Environment Order 1970(1).
