Her Majesty, in exercise of the power conferred upon Her by section 37(2) of the British Nationality Act 1981(1), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the British Nationality (Namibia) Order 1990 and shall come into force on the 25th August 1990.
2. Schedule 3 to the British Nationality Act 1981 (countries whose citizens are Commonwealth citizens) is amended by inserting the word “Namibia” at the end.

This Order adds Namibia to Schedule 3 to the British Nationality Act 1981 with the result that citizens of Namibia shall have the status of Commonwealth citizens.
