6. For the country constituency of Tweeddale, Ettrick and Lauderdale as constituted by the Schedule to the 1983 Order (and described by reference to local government areas and electoral areas as they existed on 18th February 1983) and for the county constituencies of Midlothian and East Lothian and the burgh constituency of Edinburgh East as constituted by the Schedule to the 1988 Order (and described by reference to local government areas and electoral areas as they existed on 24th June 1988), there shall be substituted the constituencies which are named in column (1) of Part V of the Schedule to this Order and comprise the areas set out opposite in column (2), which areas are local government areas and electoral areas as they existed on 5th July 1990 (and accordingly as altered by the Lothian and Borders Regions and Midlothian and Ettrick and Lauderdale Districts (Brothershiels) Boundaries Amendment Order 1989((1)), the Borders and Lothian Regions and Tweeddale and Midlothian Districts (Carlops) Boundaries Amendment Order 1990((2)), and the City of Edinburgh, East Lothian and Midlothian Districts (Whitehill Mains) Boundaries Amendment Order 1990((3)).
