for the purposes of regulations 2, 9, 10, 13 and 15
for all other purposes
Whereas a draft of this instrument was laid before Parliament in accordance with the provisions of Section 29(2)(d), (g) and (h) of the Social Security Act 1989 M1and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament;
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 166(2) and (3A) of the Social Security Act 1975 M2and sections 22(3), (4)(a) and (h) and (5), 29, 30(1) and 31(3) of, and paragraphs 1(2), 4(1) and (2), 13, 15(1)(a)(i) and (b), 17(4) and (10) and 21(2) of Schedule 4 to the Social Security Act 1989 M3 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after consultation with the Council on Tribunals in accordance with section 10 of the Tribunals and Inquiries Act 1971 M4, and with the consent of the Treasury to regulations 2 and 3 below M5, by this instrument, which is made before the end of the period of 6 months beginning with the coming into force of the enactments under which the regulations are made, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Section 30(1) is cited because of the meaning ascribed to the words “prescribe” and “regulations”.
