This Order, which extends to England and Wales only, may be cited as the Sugar Beet (Research and Education) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 1st April 1990.

In this Order “adjusted beet tonne” has the same meaning as in the inter-professional agreement made on 3rd October 1983, as amended on 1st March 1984 and on 1st November 1987, between British Sugar p.l.c. of the one part and the National Farmers' Union of the other part.
