These Regulations may be cited as the References to Rating (Housing) Regulations 1990 and shall come into force on 1st April 1990.

The enactments specified in the Schedule to these Regulations are amended as specified in that Schedule.

Section 26(3)(a) (agricultural premises) of the General Rate Act 19673 shall continue to have effect after 31st March 1990 for the purposes of section 26 of the Rent Act 19774, sections 112 and 184 of the Housing Act 19855 and paragraph 6 of Schedule 1 to the Housing Act 19886 (land let with dwelling-house) as if section 117(1) (rates and precepts: abolition) of the Local Government Finance Act 1988 had not been enacted.
