RATING AND VALUATION

These Regulations make supplementary provision with respect to Schedule 7A of the Local Government Finance Act 1988 regarding the transition between general rates under the General Rate Act 1967 (insofar as concerns business property) and non-domestic rates under Part III of the 1988 Act.

The Secretary of State for the Environment as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales as respects Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 50, 63 and 143(1) and (2) of, and paragraphs 10 to 12 of Schedule 7A and paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 9 to, the Local Government Finance Act 19881, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:
