Amendment of the Regulations of 198615.

In regulation 29(1) of the Regulations of 1986 (declarations as to age and nationality)–

(a)

for the words “, an overseas elector’s declaration or” there shall be substituted the word “or”;

(b)

at the beginning of sub-paragraph (b) there shall be inserted the words “except in the case of a person who has made an overseas elector’s declaration,”; and

(c)

after that sub-paragraph there shall be added the words–

“or (c) in the case of a person who has made an overseas elector’s declaration, to produce further evidence of his status as a British citizen including a certificate of naturalisation or a document showing that he has become such a citizen by virtue of registration”.
