Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
The Board of Trustees of the National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside (the Board) was incorporated by The Merseyside Museums and Galleries Order 1986 (S.I. 1986/226) under section 46 of the Local Government Act 1985 (c. 51). This order adds employment by the Board to the employments and offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972 so that the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme and the Civil Service Additional Voluntary Contribution Scheme made under section 1 of that Act may apply to persons employed by the Board.
By virtue of article 2(1)(c) of the Transfer of Functions (Minister for the Civil Service and Treasury) Order 1981 (S.I. 1981/1670).
