The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 36(2)(b) and 37(1) of the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 19861 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations, a draft of which has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Paliament:

These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Legal Aid (Financial Conditions) (Scotland) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 30th April 1991.

In these Regulations, “the Act” means the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986.

For the yearly sum of £2,645 specified in section 17(2)(a) of the Act2, there is hereby substituted the yearly sum of £2,860.

Regulation 4 of the Civil Legal Aid (Financial Conditions) (Scotland) Regulations 19903 is hereby revoked.
