Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 6(1) of, and paragraph 4(5) of Schedule 1 to, the Films Act 19851, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to provide, and it is hereby provided, as follows:

1.

This Order may be cited as the Films Co-Production Agreements (Amendment) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 14th August 1991.

2.

The Films Co-Production Agreements Order 19852 shall be amended by substituting for the Schedule the following—

The Films Co-Production Agreements Order 1985 (“the principal Order”) provides that films made in accordance with the agreements between the Government of the United Kingdom and the Governments of the countries listed in the Schedule, as amended by S.I. 1985/2001, 1990/1513, are to be treated as British films for the purposes of Schedule 1 to the Films Act 1985 (Certification for the purposes of section 72 of the Finance Act 1982 (c. 39) in case of British films). The present Order extends the list of agreements scheduled to the principal Order to include a further amendment made by a Protocol dated 5th July 1991 (Cm. 1592) to the agreement with Canada of 12th September 1975 (Cmnd. 6380) as amended on 9th July 1985 (Cmnd. 9887).
