SCHEDULE AMENDMENTS TO ENACTMENTS

Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980(1)

37.  In Schedule 31 to the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 (urban development corporations), in paragraph 11 (audit)–

(a) for sub-paragraph (2) substitute–

“(2) A person shall not be appointed under sub-paragraph (1) unless he is eligible for appointment as a company auditor under section 25 of the Companies Act 1989.”; and

(b) in sub-paragraph (3)–

(i) add “; or” at the end of paragraph (a); and

(ii) for paragraph (c) substitute–

“(c) a body corporate of which a member, officer or servant of the corporation is a director or officer.”.

1980 c. 65. Paragraph 11 of Schedule 31 to the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 has been amended by section 30 of and Schedule 2 to the Companies Consolidation (Consequential Provisions) Act 1985. That amend ment is superseded by these Regulations.
