Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 104(5)(a), 115(1), 165A(1) and 166(1) to (3) of, and paragraph 2 of Schedule 13 and Schedule 20 to, the Social Security Act 19751 and sections 49, 51(1)(a), (b), (c), (d), (e) and (r), 54(1) and 84(1) of, and paragraph 6 of Schedule 4 to, the Social Security Act 19862 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that the proposals to make these Regulations need not be referred to it3, hereby makes the following Regulations:
