This Order may be cited as the Dangerous Dogs Compensation and Exemption Schemes (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 25th November 1991.

“(h)
a requirement to provide the Agency before 1st March 1992 with such evidence as they may require that (in addition to the permanent identification required by article 7(1) the dog has been tattooed in such manner as may be prescribed by them;
(i)
a requirement, on request on or after 1st March 1992 by a person specified in section 5(1) of the Act to display the dog’s tattoo pusuant to paragraph (h) to such a person.”

This Order amends the Dangerous Dogs Compensation and Exemption Schemes Order 1991 by adding to the requirements which must be included in a certificate of exemption requirements that evidence of a dog having been tattooed in the prescribed manner be produced to the Agency appointed by the Secretary of State before 1st March 1992; and that from that date, the tattoo be displayed on request by an authorised person.
