These Regulations amend the International Transport of Goods under Cover of TIR Carnets (Fees) Regulations 1988 as follows.The fee for an inspection of a vehicle design-type in connection with the grant of TIR design-type approval is increased from £62.00 to £65.70 where the inspection is of a design-type which is a variation of a design-type for which a TIR designtype approval has been granted and from £380 to £402.80 in any other case.The fee for the issue of a TIR vehicle approval certificate for a vehicle which is of a design-type for which TIR design-type approval has been granted is increased from £5.50 to £5.80. Provision is also made for the issue of a duplicate of such certificate at a fee of £5.80.The fee for an inspection of a vehicle in connection with the issue of a TIR vehicle approval certificate is increased from £42.00 to £44.50 where the inspection is carried out following refusal of such a certificate for the vehicle and from £60.00 to £63.60 in any other case.

At the end of Regulation 4 there shall be added the words “and the fee for the issue of a duplicate of such certificate shall be £5.80.”
