(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order alters the fees to be charged in England and Wales under the Gaming Act 1968 for the matters mentioned in the Schedule to the Order. The fees for the grant or renewal of a gaming licence, including the case where gaming is limited to bingo, are reduced. The other fees mentioned in the Schedule are increased. The Order comes into force on the same date as the Gaming (Amendment) Act 1990 (Commencement) Order 1991 (S.I. 1991/59) brings into force amendments of the Gaming Act 1968 which provide for the charging of new fees in respect of applications for certificates consenting to the making of applications for the grant of licences under the 1968 Act and for the transfer of such licences.
