A route, about 20.44 kilometres in length, starting at Cuerden Green in the Borough of South Ribble, at a proposed roundabout junction and link road connecting with the Bamber Bridge Bypass (A6) and Lostock Lane (A582), and proceeding in a generally easterly and then north easterly direction to end at the point where it meets with the existing M65 motorway. (Calder Valley Route, Whitebirk to Hyndburn section,) approximately 1,200 metres north east of Junction 6 on the M65 at Whitebirk, in the Borough of Hyndburn.
