The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powersconferred on him by section 51A(3) and (5) of the Adoption Act 1976(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf,hereby makes the following Rules:—
1.—(1) These Rules may be cited as the Adopted Persons (Contact Register)(Fees) Rules 1991 and shall come into force on 1st May 1991.
(2) In these Rules—
“the Act” means the Adoption Act 1976;
“the register” means the Adoption Contact Register maintained by the RegistrarGeneral under section 51A(1) of the Act.
2.—(1) The fee payable for the entry of the name and address of an adoptedperson in the register under section 51A(3) of the Act is£9.50.
(2) The fee payable for the entry of the name and address of a relativeof an adopted person in the register under section 51A(5) of the Act is£27.50.

These Rules prescribe the fees payable for the entry of the name andaddress of an adopted person and for the entry of the name and addressof a relative of an adopted person in the Adoption Contact Register. Theregister is to be maintained by the Registrar General under section 51Aof the Adoption Act 1976 (c. 36), inserted in that Act by an amendmentmade by paragraph 21 of Schedule 10 to the Children Act 1989 (c. 41).
