LEGAL AID AND ADVICE, SCOTLAND
These Regulations increase the disposable income limit for eligibility for advice and assistance under the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986 from £135 a week to £145 a week, the disposable capital limit from £935 to £1,000 and the weekly disposable income above which a person is required to pay a contribution from £70 to £75. They also prescribe the scale of contributions to be paid where the weekly disposable income exceeds £75 but does not exceed £145.

Regulations 2 and 3 of the Advice and Assistance (Financial Conditions) (Scotland) Regulations 1990(6) and regulations 2 and 3 of the Advice and Assistance (Financial Conditions) (Scotland) Regulations 1991(7) are hereby revoked.
