Any sum in respect of a course of study attended by a child payable by virtue of regulations made under section 81 of the Education Act 1944 M1 (assistance by means of scholarship or otherwise), or by virtue of section 2(1) of the Education Act 1962 M2 (awards for courses of further education) or section 49 of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980 M3 (power to assist persons to take advantage of educational facilities).
