Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Registration of Births, Still-births, Deaths and Marriages (Prescription of Forms) (Scotland) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 1st October 1992.

Interpretation

2.  In these Regulations—

“the Act” means the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Scotland) Act 1965; and

“the principal Regulations” means the Registration of Births, Still-births, Deaths and Marriages (Prescription of Forms) (Scotland) Regulations 1965(1).

Amendment of the principal Regulations

3.  In regulation 2(2) of the principal Regulations, for the definition of “still-born child”, there shall be substituted the following definition:—

4.  For the form set out in Schedule 6 to the principal Regulations, there shall be substituted the form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

Revocations

5.  The following Regulations are hereby revoked:—

(a)regulation 3(1) of and Schedule 1 to the Registration of Births, Still-births, Deaths and Marriages (Prescription of Forms) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1984(3); and

(b)the Registration of Births, Still-births, Deaths and Marriages (Prescription of Forms) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1992(4).
