Whereas in accordance with paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 19721 a draft of these Regulations has been approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, being a Minister designated2 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to measures
- i
relating to the publication of documents, particulars and other items relating to a branch opened by a company governed by the law of another Member State of the European Economic Community or of a State which is not such a Member State, and
- ii
relating to credit and financial institutions
in exercise of the powers conferred on him by that section and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
