The British Technology Group Act 1991 (Modification and Saving) Order 1992

Coming into force
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 17(1) of the British Technology Group Act 19911 (“the Act of 1991”) hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the British Technology Group Act 1991 (Modification and Saving) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 31st January 1992.

In the Enterprise and New Towns (Scotland) Act 19902 (“the Act of 1990”) in section 31(1) (which applies section 9 of the Industry Act 19753 in relation to Scottish Enterprise as it applies in relation to the National Enterprise Board) for the words “it applies in relation to that Board” there shall be substituted “if any reference in that section to the Board were a reference to Scottish Enterprise”.

The repeal of section 9 of the Industry Act 1975 by section 17(2) of and Schedule 2 to the Act of 1991 shall not affect the continuing operation of section 9 for the purposes of section 31(1) of the Act of 1990 (as modified by article 2 above).

Articles 2 and 3 of this Order shall be deemed to have effect as from the appointed day4, within the meaning of the Act of 1991 (6th January 1992).
