The provisions of the 1981 Regulations (being, by virtue of article 22(3), the provisions of that Instrument without any variation or revocation effected by the 1988 Regulations) are hereby varied or revoked, as the case may be, to the extent specified in Schedule 2 to this Order.

The provisions of The Glasgow College of Technology and Robert Gordon’s Institute of Technology (Change of Name) Regulations 19906 are hereby revoked insofar as applicable to the Institution.

The 1988 Regulations are hereby revoked insofar as they apply to the Institution.

In Schedule 2 to those Regulations, paragraph 13 relating to the 1981 Regulations is hereby revoked.

The variations and revocations of provisions of the 1981 Regulations effected by regulation 20 of the 1988 Regulations and the said paragraph 13 of Schedule 2 to those Regulations shall cease to have effect and the provisions of the 1981 Regulations shall be restored, subject to any variation or revocation effected by article 21(1).

For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this Order shall be taken to affect the continuance of the Governing Body as a body corporate in accordance with the 1981 Regulations.

The determination of the number of Governors to be appointed to the core membership of the Governing Body made by the Secretary of State on 1 January 1989 shall have the like effect for the purposes of this Order as a determination under article 7(2).

Subject to the provisions of article 14 any Governors in office at the commencement of this Order in accordance with any provision of the 1988 Regulations shall continue as Governors for the remainder of their period of office as if they had become Governors in accordance with the corresponding provision of this Order.

Any members of the Academic Council established under the 1988 Regulations in office at the commencement of this Order shall continue as members of the Academic Council established under article 20 for the remainder of their period of office.
