The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1 of the Animal Health Act 1981(1) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Title and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Sera and Glandular Products) (Revocation) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 14th June 1993.

Revocation

2.  The Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Sera and Glandular Products) Order 1939(2) is hereby revoked.

In witness whereof the Official Seal of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is hereunto affixed on 14th May 1993.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order revokes the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Sera and Glandular Products) Order 1939 so as to remove controls inconsistent with EC legislation concerning labelling of veterinary medicinal products (Articles 43—48 of Council Directive 81/851/EEC on the approximation of the laws of member States relating to veterinary medicinal products(OJ No L317, 6.11.1981, p.1) as amended by Council Directive 90/676 EEC (OJ No L373, 31.12.90, p.15)).
