The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Large Goods and Passenger-Carrying Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations 1993

These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Large Goods and Passenger-Carrying Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 16th July 1993.

“(a)
in respect of a test to be conducted on a day other than a Saturday—
(i)
£55.50 if the application for the test is made before 16th July 1993, and
(ii)
£60 if the application is made on or after that date;
(b)
in respect of a test to be conducted on a Saturday—
(i)
£75 if the application for the test is made before 16th July 1993, and
(ii)
£77.50 if the application is made on or after that date.”.

We approve the making of these Regulations
These Regulations amend regulation 15 of the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Large Goods and Passenger-Carrying Vehicles) Regulations 1990 so as to increase the fee payable for a test of competence to drive a large goods or passenger-carrying vehicle (a) from £55.50 to £60 in respect of a test taken on a week-day, and (b) from £75 to £77.50 in respect of a test taken on a Saturday.These increased fees will not apply where the application for the test is made before 16th July 1993.
