The Import (Plant Health Fees) (England and Wales) Order 1993

Coming into force

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in relation to England and the Secretary of State for Wales in relation to Wales in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1(2)(b), 2, 3(1) and 4(A) of the Plant Health Act 19671 and now vested in them2 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, with the consent of the Treasury, hereby make the following Order:

Title, commencement and interpretation1

This Order may be cited as the Import (Plant Health Fees) (England and Wales) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 19th July 1993.

In this Order “import licence” means a licence issued under article 30 of the Plant Health (Great Britain) Order 19933.

Revocations2

The Import and Export (Plant Health Fees) (England and Wales) Order 19884 and the Import and Export (Plant Health Fees) (England and Wales) (Amendment) Order 19915 are hereby revoked.

Import fees3

There shall be paid to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in respect of any service described in column 2 of the Schedule to this Order the fee prescribed in column 3 of the Schedule in relation to that service.

This Order revokes the Import and Export (Plant Health Fees) (England and Wales) Order 1988 and the Import and Export (Plant Health Fees) (England and Wales) (Amendment) Order 1991 and re-enacts article 8 and Schedule 2 of the 1988 Order as amended. There is no change to the fees which were set in 1991.
