The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 84 of the Road Traffic Act 1991(1), and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic Act 1991 (Commencement No. 6 and Transitional Provisions) (Amendment) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 4th July 1993.
2.—(1) The Road Traffic Act 1991 (Commencement No. 6 and Transitional Provisions) Order 1993(2) shall be amended as follows.
(2) In article 2, sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) shall be omitted.
(3) After article 2 as so amended, there shall be inserted the following article—
“2A. The following provisions of the 1991 Act shall come into force on 5th July 1993 in respect of England and Wales only—
(a)section 41; and
(b)section 42.”.

This Order amends the Road Traffic Act 1991 (Commencement No. 6 and Transitional Provisions) Order 1993. That Order contained a provision bringing sections 41 and 42 of the Road Traffic Act 1991 (c. 40) into force on 5th July 1993 in respect of the whole of Great Britain. As a result of the amendments those sections will come into force on 5th July 1993 in respect of England and Wales only.
