Amendment of regulations
2.—(1) The Environmental Protection (Prescribed Processes and Substances) Regulations 1991(1) shall be amended as follows.
(2) In Section 6.9 of Schedule 1 (the treatment and processing of animal or vegetable matter), at the end of the definition of “exempt process” (but before the word “and”) there shall be added the following:
“(iii)the fleshing, cleaning and drying of pelts of fur-bearing mammals;”.
(3) In each of the Tables in paragraphs 4 and 18 of Schedule 3 (period within which an application for an authorisation under section 6 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 must be made for an existing process), for the date “31st July 1993” in the third column of the entry relating to “Section 4.1, 4.2, 4.7 or 4.8” there shall be substituted “31st October 1993”.
